I tried Raccoon and Fedilab but they both have issues. I found that the best way to use Friendica on my phone is to keep it in a pinned tab in my browser. There's probably a way to make the browser send notifications too but I haven't tried it (I don't want social media notifications on my phone).
Chrome and Chrome-based browsers have a feature called "Add to home screen" where you can make websites appear like native apps.
Hoping that someone will improve the apps now that the fediverse is gaining some momentum again.
I have best experience with Saving the webapp to the start page and using that. After using it much, I actually don't know why I would want another app. If you use the BookFace theme, it is very nice 👍
